Atividades e Responsabilidades

● Lead the backend team in the design, implementation, and evolution of high-performance backend APIs and services using Python and FastAPI.

● Own the technical architecture and make strategic decisions around system design, data modeling, scalability, and integration patterns.

● Collaborate closely with AI/ML, frontend, product, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless, well-integrated platform capabilities.

● Guide the team through code reviews, architectural discussions, and incident postmortems, promoting a culture of engineering excellence.

● Ensure high-quality engineering practices, including test automation, observability, CI/CD, and clean code standards.

● Act as a mentor and technical coach to backend engineers, supporting their growth and helping shape a high-performing team.

● Translate business requirements into technical solutions and eff ectively communicate trade-off s and decisions to stakeholders.

● Support planning and delivery by partnering with product managers and engineering leads to align roadmap, velocity, and timelines.

Requisitos

● 7+ years of backend engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or team lead role.

● 2+ years of leadership experience, with a proven ability to mentor and guide engineering teams.

● Deep expertise in Python, FastAPI (or similar frameworks), and distributed systems.

● Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks like React and Next.js and an understanding of frontend/backend integration patterns.

● Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and familiarity with non-relational databases like Redis.

● Solid experience with asynchronous programming, event-driven architectures, and tools such as Kafka, Celery, or RabbitMQ.

● Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes, and experience deploying in cloud environments (preferably AWS or Azure).

● Proven ability to design and evolve microservice-based architectures with attention to performance, security, and scalability.

● Experience driving initiatives related to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and production reliability.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and align teams around a shared vision.

● Comfortable working in Agile environments, using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Git-based workflows.

● Proficient in professional business English
