The Opportunity
Harpia Group (harpia-group.com) is a private Zug-based advisory firm that oversees multimillion-dollar M&A deals, fills board roles in private and listed companies, and develops strategies for various global mining producers. The Managing Director’s career spans five continents and he has built financial independence through tech-savvy operations.
Now, he needs a top-tier student (no matter the year or major) to act as the Digital Architect. This isn't a standard internship; it's a high-intensity fellowship where you'll work side-by-side with him remotely (from anywhere in the world reporting directly to Switzerland/Australia). You'll automate professional and personal tasks, communication, and business logic – turning manual tasks into self-running AI systems. Hours will vary: expect 10-30 hours/week, with flexibility for your studies.
This is an independent contractor role (autonomy and tax efficiency). It's your first step into real business: learn to structure contracts, manage invoices, and optimise for results without corporate bureaucracy. No employee status, no benefits – just straightforward pay for deliverables.
The Mission: Automate Everything
Your focus: Build complex systems, AI agents, and integrations that eliminate human effort. Examples:
Develop scripts and systems for global asset tracking, financial paperwork (e.g., AU/CH taxes), and market intelligence gathering.
Communication and business development pipelines automating interactions, outreach, and managing high-stake relationships.
Kill day-to-day paperwork with automation: don't book appointments or talk to customer service – create AI agents that query APIs, check calendars, understand goals, and handle it autonomously.
Tackle business and engineering problems through automation and scaling perspectives.
Use Grok/Gemini/OpenAI/Claude APIs for smart decision-making, React/Node for dashboards, and tools like n8n for seamless orchestration and workflows.
Domain areas: Complex AI systems, business development, market intelligence data, assets and investments, cross-border back-office management.
The Profile
Attitude: Hacker ethos – proactive, problem-solving genius who "figures it out" independently. No handholding. Elite abstract reasoning is non-negotiable.
Mindset: Pragmatic, results-oriented, driven, with an entrepreneurial focus on efficiency, individual accountability, and free-market innovation.
Skills: Good understanding of business logic, scripts, automation tools, APIs, LLM calls, and databases; bonus if you know Python, n8n, React/Node, or similar. Don’t have the experience? Learn before the technical test and show you’re capable.
Background: Current university student in Engineering (any major or year), CS, or related. Fluent English is a must. Portuguese and Chinese highly regarded. Spanish/German a plus.
Mobility: Based anywhere in the world. EU/US/UK/CAN/AUS passport ideal for potential future international growth (travel/relocation as ventures scale) but not required.
Work Ethic: Thrives on intensity – willing to push hard for massive learning gains.
